That pretty much sums up a way to create original characters. After all we’ve all seen the action hero who is buff and can get any and every girl he wants. But try a character who’s out of his element in being the hero. Instead of the ex SEAL or Marine try the computer nerd or the tiny girl who plays music. Put that person in a situation where they have to be the hero.
