Track Results
Hello and welcome back.
It’s been a while since I last posted here, I’ve been getting the absolute final touches ready for my launch of No Remorse No Regret.
Today I want to talk about tracking results. This is one of the most important things when it comes to marketing your books, or anything else for that matter. Otherwise how would you know which marketing strategy or tactic is the one that worked or didn’t work.
Some ways to help with tracking results are when you send out your marketing links use a link-shortener such as bitly or any of the others that are out there. You’ll likely use different places to market your book such as your email list, or online classifieds like Craigslist.
This is also where Google’s analytics comes into play which will show you which places around the world and where you get your visitors and customers from and which website had the link to your site that they clicked through to you.
And to borrow from copy writing you will have a marketing piece such as an ad that serves as your control. You next change one part of the ad like the title and keep everything else the same and put it up against the original ad. If the new ad gets you more customers that one becomes the new control.
You keep testing like that as an ongoing marketing journey.
I hope this helps, make it a great day.
