Day 08

Climate – Wood

Sixty straight days of rain. This climate change thing must be real, Jimmy wrote in his journal. It’s made all the wood in the houses start to rot. People won’t have a place to live much longer if this keeps up. If only the politicians had listened to the scientists sooner then we wouldn’t be in this situation.

With the dam bursting and wiping two towns away, have we taken too long? Our town was lucky, we didn’t live below the dam, we were above it. But still, how could we let it get this bad? We could have done ourselves a huge favor by taking action individually. Maybe that could have made a difference.
