I would say I agree with the article Renee Miller wrote. There is a difference between soul mates and the love interest. The love at first sight is not something that usually endures.

And probably most important, the love interest character should not be the perfect man or woman. Like she said in the article if the person is so rich, attractive, etc. he or she would have already been snatched up by someone equally great.
