Today I’m going to talk about what I would have done differently if I could do it all over again with regards to my writing career.

That would be not let years go by in between the time I stopped screenwriting and got back into writing with novels and short stories.

Screenwriting is a tough gig to crack with the estimated 50 thousand or more screenplays getting registered with the writer’s guild every year. And that’s the number that get registered, fewer than 300 a year get bought and far less than that get produced into movies.

I let myself get beat up and beaten down with not getting a script sale and so I had stopped writing for a few years. But three years ago I got back into writing with working on my first novel No Remorse No Regret which will be published this year.

Actually I got back into writing with publishing some non fiction books under various pen names to kindle a year or two before that.

And so the best advice I can give people is not to give up or let the the setbacks we all will encounter as we go through what we’re trying to achieve.
