Hello everybody and welcome back to my blog. This is the part of the site, blog post or whatever that I will be tracking my goal of writing 1 million words in a year. As you will notice, this is done for both January 2nd and 3rd – the reason for this is because I worked a 12 hour shift at my job today and will be making the transition into night shifts for the 3rd and 4th of the month. While it is likely that I will fall behind on what I would need daily for 1 million words in an entire year – the calculation is I will need to write 2733 words per day on average. I will do my best to make up for any shortfall on my days off. I work a 2 days then 2 nights followed by 4 days off work schedule with the possibility that there might be a second job worked in on there.

So, I will do my best to make up for the shortfall on my days off, the goal while it might seem daunting, I am inspired by one who said it is better to aim for the stars and hit the moon than to aim for the dirt and hit.
