Hey everybody, welcome back to my 1 Million Words written in a year track. So far, not including today I have 2602 words written, a long ways off track but I worked 4 twelve hour shifts last week and was sick for two days. I will try not to make those excuses again, because after all there really aren’t any excuses.

What I worked on today is Still Running, Witness Unprotection which will soon be published and a Star Trek fan fiction piece that I intend to sell on Etsy.

One of the things I will be using as I go through this journey of getting to 1 Million Words, will be the following book:

The first chapter deals with writing sprints starting with 5 minutes at a time, so I will begin with that. The first five minute sprint I got 91 words, the second one I got 136. The third one I got 107, the fourth one I got 123. The fifth one I got 114 words and the sixth one I got 110, then took a break.

The seventh one I got to 125 words, the eighth I got 146. The ninth one I got to 126 words, the tenth word sprint I got to 131. The eleventh one I got 125 and the twelfth and final one I tot 147 words. Total words written today were – 2316.

I will increase the writing sprint time by five minutes every week until I reach thirty minutes.
