Hello,

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I will writ a short tip on how to save time writing dialogue. This won’t go into the 3 Tips section as there’s really only one tip.

So how to save time with writing dialogue?

Write the first thing that comes into your head for the character. And that’s basically it in a nutshell.

Note however this is for when you’re writing your first draft. In subsequent drafts that’s when you really have to drill down to improve it through various techniques such as writing out ten different things that a character could say in the situation.

Or scanning through a dictionary to come up with a different thing for a character to say, even if it might be nonsensical to the situation – it might give you some inspiration to bring the scene to a different level.

Have a great day, or I should say make it a great day.
