Time Management For Authors
Hello and welcome back to my blog.
Today as the title suggests I am going to write about time management for us authors.
starting off you might have this word of advice before but it bears repeating, if writing is important to you you will find the time to write, even when you have obligations like family, friends, and a job.
Schedule time to write everyday. I could be in the morning before everyone else has gotten up or in the evening for an hour after everyone else has gone to bed.
If your commute to work is by bus you can use that time to work on your writing. Also work on your writing over your lunch hour. This is one of the best times for me as I work on a story while I’m eating then when I relieve my dispatcher for her lunch I can continue to work on the story.
To find more time to write take a notepad with you wherever you go and write down how much time you spend on each activity. This is the same idea that is often suggested when people are looking for ways to curtail their spending and pay off debt.
Do this for a week or two and you are definitely going to find ways you can get more time to work on your story.
