Writing Craft Books
Hello and welcome back to my blog.
Today I would like to let you know of some of the writing craft books that have helped.
If you’re like most authors and not the world famous ones you likely have a job, and a family and other commitments that you need to adhere to. Marcy Kennedy created the Busy Writer’s Guides for those of us who are like most of us.
Dialogue:
About dialogue, some great ways to improve it.
Description:
Remember an earlier article I wrote about how to improve description? I got some of the idea, plus a few of my own from this book.
Internal Dialogue:
Internal Dialogue are those parts in the book you usually see in italics. What the character is thinking. I will be doing a post later on this and my interpretation of it.
Showing And Telling:
This is one of the most important aspects of writing fiction. The difference between showing and telling. Or the difference between Mike was happy to see Jennifer (telling) and Mike wrapped his arms around Jennifer lifting her off the floor and swinging her around (showing).
All of these books are highly recommended for you to help improve your writing. There will be more book reviews in the future. Make your day a great one.
