Writing Prompts
Hello again for today everybody. One of the necessary things of being a writer is write everyday. No doubt you’ve read that before but if you’re struggling with coming up with ideas to write about do a Google search for writing prompts and that’s what I did for today’s blog post.
The prompt for today comes from thinkwritten.com/365-creative-writing-prompts. The one i will use for today is Alarm Clock to write about waking up.
A $%^& gotta get up and face the day. A blank screen to start a new story, what to have for breakfast? Should I call in sick to work today – that would be great unless I got caught.
If only I could have another hour of sleep or i was actually able to fall asleep without tossing and turning for two or three hours. Coffee fist thing after turning off the alarm. At least it was one thing that went good today – the coffee maker automatically started five minutes before the screaming alarm clock woke me up.
Oh how wonderful this smells, coffee and add some milk. Sometimes I feel so tired I’m actually tempted to cut the coffee grinds onto a mirror and snort it like you would snort cocaine. But that would be really gross and I chicken out at the last minute.
Then when I sit down on my couch while sipping my coffee I imagine what work will be like today- can’t tell you what I do besides writing, it’s nothing illegal or top secret shit, but not sure how well things would be received. Anyway time to finish the coffee, cereal for breakfast then shower and off to work.
Really should have called in sick today so I could finish my book but oh well we all make mistakes don’t we?
That’s the post for today I hope you enjoyed it, try your own interpretation of the writing prompt, have a great day.
