Day 20

Message hall

Max received the text message at the most inopportune time. Hiding in a closet he had just heard the closing of the door up the hall thirty seconds ago. His pursuer was walking lightly n the floor so he heard no footsteps, no way of knowing where the person might be.

He reached up to grab the inside doorknob to make it seem to be locked if it gets turned from the outside. The split second before his hand makes contact the doorknob turns and the door opens. Outside the door is Jennifer, she taps him on the hand and says, “Tag, you’re it. you have to close your eyes and count to sixty before you can try and find me.”

Max closes his eyes, covers his ears and starts counting. Unfortunately this prevents him from seeing the man in blue coveralls sneak up behind Jennifer and knock her out and carry her away.
