What could I possibly mean by Inconvenient Inspiration?

Well first off sometimes it can hit at inconvenient times. Hopefully that statement doesn’t make you go DUH!!! But it does happen.

The reason I came up with this topic is because inspiration hit me when I was driving in my car to work. I didn’t have time to pull over and write down on a pad of paper or notebook or use my memo app on my Smartphone. And I couldn’t do either of those things while driving.

So I thought about what I could have done. And that would be, I could have used the voice recorder app on my smart phone. I will remember that for next time so I can record the dialogue I want to say, or what I wanted the characters in the story to say.

What are other times when inspiration can hit at an inconvenient time?

In a public washroom for one. This hasn’t hit me yet but it probably will one day. So for this it probably wouldn’t be too great an idea to be using the voice recorder in a washroom as people will likely be looking at you funny. So for use guys, a good idea would be to never use the urinal, only the stalls, that way if an idea hits us we can pull out our notebook and write it down.

Another time when you’re at dinner with your friends or significant other. This will require a little more tact so an idea would be to excuse yourself to go to the restroom and use the suggestion noted above.

This can also be used for any other public gathering such as parties of all kinds.
