Library tension

Marci felt the tension growing in her body as she sat in the back corner of the prison library reading the book. A supposedly true crime account of her life. The events portrayed are total bull . . . she restrained herself from even thinking the curse word. Even in this horrid place, the maximum security prison, she would retain her dignity and not sink down to the level of those who had framed her for the crime.

Apparently it is true, history is written by the winners. Those who got her stuck in this place won. So it was their story that got told.

If she ever gets out she’ll have to find a way to prove the truth. But you don’t get paroled when you refuse to admit what you were convicted of.
