Hello and welcome back to my blog.

A good way to come up with stories is to play the what if game. This is a game played by many different writers to come up with an original story.

For me an idea would be what if the Germans won World War 2 or if the Soviet Union had defeated America in the Cold War. What would the world be like if either of these scenarios had played out.

You can come up with your own what if game for different scenarios. Those 2 have been done, but of course that doesn’t mean you can’t come up with a story of your own.

For example how would it have come about if the Germans had won the war. Two ways – they would have had to have mass produced the first jet fighter and it would also have meant that the Germans had won the race to develop the atomic bomb.

So then imagine what the world would be like had it been Adolf Hitler and the Nazis using nuclear weapons as opposed to it being Harry Truman and the Americans.

Note here I am not in anyway trying to make any moral implications as to the the Americans being the ones who used them on the Japanese, just a creative writing exercise.
